Mother Nature you are one sick Beyotch!

Ok so it’s April.  Early April but April nonetheless (which may or may not be a word but this is my blog so in Cleverly Disguised world it’s a real word).  On Sunday DH and I were out and about in t-shirts (ok mine was long sleeved but still…no jacket people) working on the garden.  I raked the dead leaves off the beds, exposed some I-don’t-know-what lily/tulip/daffodil type shoots, pulled weeds and DH moved patio stones and cut down the uber-invasive grape vine.  Well, most of it anyway.  Oh, did I mention I wasn’t wearing socks either?  It was that warm.

It was great.  It was maybe 14 C (57.2 F) in the sun and I even got a slight sunburn.  Yes I am that transparent.

Anyway.  Yesterday I wake up to freezing rain.  Today I wake up to snow.  And -11 C (12.2 F) with the wind chill temps.  I thought I could put my puffy coat away for the season.  Who decided that it was November again?  What happend to spring and summer?  Turns out Mother Nature has some sort of sick sense of humour.  March was in like a lion and out like a lamb but the lion has come back for more.  That lion better find somewhere else to go because I think I speak for all of Southern Ontario when I say that I am sick and tired of winter.  Bring on the sandals!  Bring on the BBQ!  Bring on the wine spritzers on the patio!
